Race Update - Oct 29th 2011

With just 8 days left to go until the race, our event is now 90% full and the race limit of 1,000 is on course to be reached by the closing date for entries which is confirmed as Thurs 3rd November. Please hurry to beat that deadline by entering as soon as possible. Places are being snapped up very rapidly!

Please be reminded that no entries on the day will be possible.

Runners who may be injured or otherwise unable to run can find a number transfer form available on the Guy Fawkes race page at http://www.ukresults.net/ or by the following link:

http://www.ukresults.net/online/111106fawkes.html

This service will also be available at the number collection area on race day morning.

Race Numbers can be collected from Race HQ at Ripley Town Hall from 08.30 on Sunday 6h Nov. They will be sorted alphabetically by entrant surname, and the appropriate collection desk will be clearly signed inside the Hall. A list of confirmed entrants will also be displayed at ukresults and also in the Town Hall. All you need to do is remember what letter of the alphabet your surname starts with! We'll also just need you to confirm your date of birth.

We ask that after your number has been collected, you muster in the village car park by 10.15, at which time we will issue you with any last minute instructions and then lead you to the start corral point  which will be outside the Castle Courtyard (as last year).

Please avoid warming up on the main village roads and in the precincts of the Church or Castle.

Extensive toilet facilities will be available in the main village car park and outside the Town Hall. Out of respect for our neighbours, please avoid using the toilets inside the Town Hall or any other area of the village.

Runners are also reminded that the use of MP3/ipod devices during the race is not permitted. You may face disqualification otherwise.

Please keep checking back to this page for any further important updates in the next few days. Otherwise, we look forward to meeting you on Sunday 6th November. We hope the weather is kind to ease your progress!
